Hey! My name is Katrina AKA Trini AKA Kueen Katrina! Thanks for wanting to learn a little about me. I am an actor, live performer, stunt woman, producer, story editor, camera operator, creative director, field logger and transcriber based out of Los Angeles, CA. Since 2013, I have been affiliated with the Screen Actors Guild, the Motion Picture Editors Guild and Actors' Equity Association. I've been fortunate to travel the world and I'm passionate about changing people's perceptions of people with Dwarfism in the media.
I am a quintessential "Valley Girl" born and raised by a single mom in Los Angeles, California. At the age of 9, while recovering from four leg surgeries I became obsessed with pop culture, cartoons, gaming, and wielding my scepter over my three half-siblings. It was my passion for music, dance, and creating art with my family that led me to pursue theater as an actor and singing from the first day of Kindergarten to my last day of high school.
By the time I was a Senior in High School, I was one of the main Producer/Directors managing our Media Academy which was broadcast live to over 4,000 students weekly, with episodes purchased by Time Warner Cable On-Demand. I acquired my higher education at California State University Northridge (CSUN) and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Cinema/Television Arts with a focus in Non-Fiction Story Telling.
I worked my way through college doing live performance and stunts at Universal Studios Hollywood embodying Chucky the Killer Doll among many other characters. Music Videos with Rihanna and Twerking opportunities with Miley Cyrus followed soon after with roles in Circus, Theatre, and television roles.
In 2013, I joined the Screen Actors Guild, and have been working full time as an actor ever since. Going to places as far as South America and Canada for international Pop stars and network television projects. Along the way, I've joined the Motion Picture Editors Guild as a story editor for shows such as RuPaul's Drag Race and American Idol. By 2017, I joined Actors' Equity Association and landed a role in Andrew Lloyd Webber's sequel to Phantom of the Opera Love Never Dies.
...By early 2019, I had finished 410 shows as a principle actor in Love Never Dies across the US. In the spring, I lived on the tip of the Mexican Peninsula working as a field logger for 495 Productions. When January 2020 came, I signed a 5 episode contract with a guest star role in the Netflix series GLOW, which included doing my own stunts. Sadly, a few episodes into filming, the series was canceled due to COVID-19 conflicts. During the Pandemic, I've been in the Netflix comedy series Special, and will be featured in the thriller Seeing Diane Arbus debuting at ScreamFest Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA October 2022 at Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
Since 2019, when I had the honor of interviewing Sinead Burke, acclaimed activist with Dwarfism, at the Los Angeles Public Library, I've carried my passion for interviewing into livestreaming during lockdown. This journey has helped me rediscover my love of creating discourse with a vocal audience, and I am currently in post-production on two documentaries based within the entertainment industry. I'm currently working on writing my memoir among other projects. If you'd like to work with me, please contact me here.
At age 5, I was diagnosed with a rare form of Dwarfism known as Pseudoachondroplasia. Since then I've been educating people of all ages about what it means to have Dwarfism in our society. I have traveled to several different countries and 41 different cities in America with the goal at the forefront of my mind to raise disability awareness. One of the first steps to creating societal change is constructive, helpful media representation. Everywhere I go I aim bring the (pop) culture forward. My content is for creating visual, and cerebral, changes towards the perception of people with Dwarfism in the entertainment industry.
When I'm not performing or working in post-production, one of my passions is watercoloring! If you'd like to support me living my dreams, click here to check out my art shop. Everything is handmade in the USA by a person with Dwarfism. 🙂
